Children are welcome at any services. They are most likely to enjoy the 10.30 Eucharist, which is held at Lastingham and Rosedale.

In these two churches there is a range of attractive books suitable for children of all ages.

There is also a table at the back with colouring sheets and crayons, where children may sit and colour during services and at other times.

There is a Children's Mass at Rosedale on the first Friday of the month at 9.30 am.

Children are encouraged to take part in the 10.30 Eucharist by ringing the bells and serving at the altar.

Children over the age of seven who are regular worshippers may, after suitable preparation, be admitted the receive Holy Communion before Confirmation.

There is scope for anyone who feels able to develop work with children. It is suggested that there should be an emphasis on music and drama.
